First project in India
In 2007 Water for Kids' jointly funded a water supply and new toilet
block for 50 boys living in the Bishop Bexell Orphanage
in Tamil Nadu, India with a church in Bath. A condition of our funding
of £2,038 was that the boys are educated about hand washing, once the
new facilities were available. Water for Kids is promoting a holistic
approach to projects; sanitation and education are provided alongside
clean water to maximise disease prevention.
