Namantooke Update

Work has gone well on our holistic project at Namatooke. The borehole is complete and has been handed over to the village. The school of 937 pupils and 11 teachers now have access to clean water during their day, and the community of 1335 no longer use a contaminated source of water.

The new girl’s latrines and washroom have been completed and some of the health education training has been carried out. Work continues refurbishing the boy’s latrines and on setting up the village sanitation programme.

We are grateful to Randal Charitable Foundation for funding which has enabled this project to take place.
